An Exciting Monday

Gammie has been working hard with Catch on how to use a spoon. As you can see below, he's getting pretty good at it! He'll eat with a spoon for a bit, but after awhile, he gets fed up and resorts to using his hands. Applesauce and mashed potatoes can get quite messy when using hands. ;0)

One of Catch's favorite videos is "Elmo's: Kids Favorite Songs 2." He pretty much knows the entire thing already before they even begin singing. His favorites are "Wheels on the Bus," "Ants Go Marching," and "If you're happy." I sang it today, and he did all the moves. Here they are...

Make a silly face. The kids on the show always put their hands in their mouths and stick out their tongues. I was pretty impressed by this.

If you're angry, stomp your feet.

If you're happy, shout "hooray!" They throw their hands in the air when they do this one.
They also do, "If you're tired, wipe you're eyes." Catch wipes his eyes, but I didn't get a pic of this one. He's one smart cookie!

PLAY TIME!

This is one of his favorite moves these days. Must be a new perspective for him.

Can you tell he's teething?! I saw his 4th top one today!

Blurry, but still handsome.
DOG TIME
Boomer is the lab in the following pics. When Chris and I were in college, we adopted him as a puppy. He was absolutely precious! However, he has never really been fond of kids. He's growled at Catch a few times, so he has become an outside dog (crate dog when it's hot). Chris took Catch outside before dinner and let him play ball with Boomer. Boomer is obsessed with chasing down the balls, and he actually let Catch throw them.

Catch has gotten really good at throwing and swinging his bat. Every time he swings a bat, he yells, "Pow!"

Oops! Missed the ball. You'd think it'd be easier to turn around, but not for him. There's no way I could do that without popping a hip! lol

My Blue Eyes!

Uh-oh! Someone's discovered the water bowls! I was not too fond of this. Chris thought it was funny.

Has to try both bowls. After a while, he would throw the ball, then rinse his hands off. I liked that at least. ;0)

And then the inevitably...

HE DRANK FROM THE WATER BOWL! Catch saw Boomer take a break and get a sip. I guess Catch thought it was a good idea. I didn't quite realize what he was doing til he did it. That's why it was blurry - I was quick to grab him.

And again! By this time, I'm grossed out and Chris is crying from laughing so hard. We left dinner and immediately gave him a bath. I think I washed him down a few times. Boy! Boy! Boy!

Our week through pics

I figured I'd tell you about our week as I show you pictures. Enjoy!

Bathtime at Nana's and Papa's

He's got his Abe Lincoln beard.

I don't think he likes the taste of bubbles...

Nana, Daddy, and Catch hard at work.

We are simply extensions of all furniture.

He thought he was so cool standing on the kitchen island.

My sister, Damia, and I designed a weight loss program for our mom. She's on day 3 and I'm proud of how committed she's staying. Good job, Gammie!

Catch's first happy meal! He loved the box, but wasn't quite sure what was in it. We got him the chicken nuggets, fries, and milk. Chris and I ate the fries. :0) I warmed him up some steamed corn and peas. He loves them!

I think he realized that there was food in the box. We all know how much he loves his food!

Hulk toy. Catch is in the stage of throwing things in boxes/buckets. Every time he throws something in the box, he claps for himself. Hopefully, he'll keep this habit when he starts cleaning his own room. ;0)

There goes Hulk!

Chris and I our doing a "2010 Taste of OKC" tour with a few of our friends. Mark came up with a few restaurants that he's been wanting to try and we've all included a couple. We are on stop #3 - RePUBlic. It was a great atomsphere. They had tv's outside, yummy food, and drinks. If you go, order a Publican Tea. It was absolutely divine.

My fellow mommy friends: Kristi Graham and Bonnie Kesner (aka - Carter/Caroline's Mom and Baby Kelli's mom) After all, that is how people see us now.

We finally got our roof done! This is Mike, our roofer. Catch went straight to me. He sure hates attention, huh? ;0)

While the roofers were banging away at our house, Catch and I played at Nana and Papa's house. This is Catch's favorite new pose. It reminds me of a wrestler's move. I hope he doesn't want to be a wrestler! I can't take that cauliflower ear stuff. Ugh...

Catch's nerd face! Must get it from his daddy. hehehe...

Someone's playing on Nana's bed

"Hewo!" - That's how Catch says hello. He loves to play with our cellphones, actually anyone's cellphone. Anytime he gets one, he says, "Hewo!"

He was talking gibberish - I'm sure it made sense in his head, but I didn't have a clue.

Too darn cute!

Catch kept taking Nana's candle down, then placing it back where it went. Then, of course, he would clap for himself.

Candle back in place...Catch clapping for himself. I love the confidence!

Catch and I goofing around on the couch. Yes, I was watching reruns of "The O.C." on the soap opera station.

I may be smiling, but I was getting poked in the eye and scratched while trying to take these pics.

This is probably my favorite pic of Catch and me.

Sugars from my baby.

Playing outside of Louie's restaurant. He loved running up and down the ramp.

Nana, Chris, and Catch at Freddy's Custard - peanut butter and banana sundae = delicious!

:0)

Chris and I headed to his cousin's wedding. Catch had to pop up in the picture.

He kept pulling on Chris' legs so we'd pick him up for a pic. Ham much?

The new Kevin and Meghan Manley. Brenda, you all threw a beautiful wedding (and you looked hot!). We wish them the best!

Picture Crazy

I thought everyone would enjoy some random pics of Catch from the week. We've been hanging around the house mostly, and he is getting so big. We play chase around the house and sometimes he's so quick, I can't find him right away! Of course, I freak out and then look behind me and there he is, smiling and giggling at me. He practically runs everywhere. There's no such thing as walking anymore.
We've had some funny moments as well. I thought one of our dogs, Dojo, was still outside, so I was yelling for her to come in. After a few times, I realized she was already in the house. (My memory is pretty bad these days.) Anyway, here goes Catch: "Yojo! Yojo! Yojo!" He must have walked around the house yelling it countless times. I couldn't stop laughing.

We've also had a few meltdowns. For some reason when I say no, he thinks that means lay down on the ground and cry. Really?! Please tell me that stops sooner than later.

But I'm enjoying these last couple of weeks before school starts up. I'm excited to go back, but I know I'm going to miss some pretty cool stuff with my Catcher. :(

I don't remember what he was looking at.

Play time on the 4-wheeler.

Watching a baseball game with Daddy.

How sweet...

Everything unknown must go through the taste trial.

He really loves his water bottles.

Struttin' for the camera.

Almost got it...

Got it! Is is sad that he already know what to do with it??

Uh-oh...this doesn't look good.

He's walking with a purpose.

If I could only get him to actually use it correctly...

This is his new pose. Not so sure where he got this one.
Pictures from a couple weeks ago:

One early morning. From the looks of his hair,
it must have been a rough night.

Yippee!

hehehe...

Love this one!
Ta-Da!!!!!

My Honest Abe.

Guess who's Number 1!!!

"Electric Baby" chillin'

Playing with Maddox through her cage -which is a no-no. He sure minds well. ;0)
