Goodbye, Summer.

Well, the end has come. My Catcher and I have had a wonderful couple months, and I'm sad to see that it's over. Luckily he loves his daycare, so it hasn't been too big of an adjustment. It was actually harder for me than for him. I have a feeling that it's always going to be that way. :0( To wrap up the summer, I've compiled a list of all the wonderful memories from our summer. Enjoy!

THE AWESOME SUMMER LIST

1)We had so many wonderful zoo trips with our friends.
2)He started using a fork and spoon. Gammie worked hard to help him.
3)He is talking up a storm! Besides saying "mama" and dada," he loves saying "pow," "dojo," "papa," "ba"(which is supposed to be "ball"). Along with all of that, he is mimicking all kinds of words. It amazes us every time. Dad just taught him how to say, "Quack, quack" when he asks Catch what a duck says.
4) He figured out the difference between his bat and ball. His swing and throw continually get better. He'll be ready for the batting cages before we know it. ;0)
5) He shakes his head yes and no when we ask him a question.
6) He is obsessed with bananas! In fact, he's obsessed with fruit.
7) He got his first Happy Meal! But we're actually Wacky Pack fans - they come with bananas.
8) He blew kisses and said bye to everyone he saw.
9) He knew to give hugs to Baby Kelli. In fact, his face lights up every time he sees her. It's absolutely precious.
10) He got to have some wonderful play dates with Carter and Caroline.
11) He slept through the night in his crib! Some days he would even wake up at 8:30. The latest he slept was 10:30 and that felt kind of odd.
12) He learned how to get around the house quickly, which is a bit scarier.
13) He started climbing on the coffee table, couches, and anything else nearby. He's also learned how to get off the couch and bed, which is a bit scary too.
14)He's really started to love playing outside, especially throwing the ball to Boomer.
And so much more...

Ok, so sometimes he doesn't use the fork correctly.

Uh-oh...someone got caught.

Can you see why we get scared?!

Playing outside.

Someone saw the water, and had to play in it.

Catcheroo copying daddy.

Our lil country boy.

Catcher pose.

Lunchtime at the mall.

He enjoys trying on all of our shoes.

And he's started taking off his diapers. Not good...

And pulling the shirts out my dresser...still with no diaper

Trying on some of Daddy's baseball socks.

Stopped by the Downtown fountain after IHOP. He loves it!

What a poser.

My Boys :0)

Play time at the Sooner Mall. He was on Cloud 9 and I was freaking out with all the kids zooming past him.

The doghouse was my favorite.

Off to do some shopping!
Another fountain!
Someone spotted Baby Kelli!

Too much shopping!

hehehe...

Getting in the dogs' cages.

Maybe this would work for timeout. Just kidding! He'd probably like it!

Another thing he enjoys is crawling on top of the fireplace. He loves to make us nervous!

This smile gets me every time!

GORGEOUS!

At Texadelphia in Norman to visit Daddy for lunch.

Here's the pose again.

At Gammie's new house with Uncle Baba.

Catch saw this at the garage sale. Never used it, but suddenly now he wanted to lay in it. Go figure!

Christine's son, Tristan, gave Catch his Elmo chair. Catch loves Elmo, but every time he sits in it, Elmo shakes and laughs. Catch is not a fan yet.

An Evening with Friends, Kids, and Babies

Last Tuesday, we had the Kesners with Baby Kelli, and the Grahams with Caroline and Carter, over for dinner. It was a fun night, of course! Catch loved seeing them all. I made chicken fajita tostadas, and my wonderful mom helped by making the beans and Spanish rice. If I may say so, it was all delicious, especially the made from scratch cheescake I made. I was pretty proud of myself!

We took the kiddos outside after dinner. They had a great time running up and down the sidewalk, riding the 4-wheeler, and writing on the chalkwalk. Do I have some stories?! Yes, indeed! I'm going to let the pics take over from here! Enjoy!
Carter wasn't a fan of the 4-wheeler, but I think it was just because he was still a bit under the weather. Catch didn't have a problem taking over. In fact, he rode it backwards and sideways! I think I have a future X-gamer here!

Catch looking at Caroline and Carter playing in his room. He wasn't quite sure what to think of this.

Carter was walking along the garage door, and we couldn't help but laugh. He had his hand tucked in and it looked like he was peeing! hehehe...we're pretty mature, huh?!

Chris playing chase with all the kids.

Caroline didn't want me to take a pic of her wearing her helmet, but I'd already done so. Kristi, don't show Caroline this one! ;-)
Looks like best friends are about to hug it out.

Carter took off! Look how far he went!

Baby Kelli was fast asleep inside, so Bonnie came out to play for a bit. :0)

My beautiful creation. Notice: Caroline's name is in yellow. I didn't mean anything by it, but boy was she upset with me! Her favorite color is purple, and when she saw this, she ran straight to her mom with tears in her eyes. I felt horrible and a bit perplexed.

So while she was with her mom, I wrote it again in purple. But, she was still upset because it wasn't in the spot she wanted. (All this was said through crying.)

So...she picked a spot and I wrote it again. BUT, it was too big. It had to be little letterS because she's a little girl. The whole experience was hilarious! After that, she was as happy as can be.

Carter playing with the chalk. I don't know how many times we had to pull chalk out of Catch's mouth! That boy will eat anything and everything!
All the kiddos took a bath together since it was so late. Caroline got between them and Catch would look side to side. You could tell he was trying to figure out why they were in there with him. But within seconds, he was happy go lucky. At one point, Carter was standing up with his bottom in Catch's face. Catch didn't know what to think, so Kristi patted Carter's butt. Then she realized she probably shouldn't have done that. A second later, there goes Catch...patting Carter's butt! We'll definitely tell them this story when they get older!!!

One more funny story: Catch reached over to get a toy and Caroline was looking at him. She told Catch, "Catch, you have such a cute, little bottom." We all died laughing!

Matching the boys up after bath. How cute do they look in their white tank tops?!

Catch taking Carter's paci. It was way past his bedtime!
The entire night was great and we can't wait to do this more!
