Little Rock

This past weekend Chris, Catch, and I went to Little Rock to visit our friends, Jeremy, Meagan-Marie, and their little girl, Ryne. I am still tired, but it was worth it. The guys, Chris, Jeremy, and Griff, always have a "Brothers' Weekend" at least once or twice a year. They compete in golf, bowling, tennis, and football. Yes, they really do this and they even have traveling trophies! Chris won 3 - 2 for golf and 1 for bowling. They began a new event this year: Punt-Pass-Kick (I think that's what it's called). Chris missed his kick, so he was out pretty quick. He also lost in tennis and definitely did not lose gracefully. He threw his racket and bent it after his first loss. Needless to say, he didn't win his second game either.

We also got the opportunity to take our first family pictures. Meagan-Marie has a studio in Maumelle and she was kind enough to take some pics of us. We went to this beautiful part and it was fun (minus the mosquitos). Catch did so well and we got some great pics of him smiling. I can't wait to order some!

We got to hang out with Ryne a lot, and let me tell you, she is a hoot! She makes me excited to see Catch in that stage. She really said some of the funniestthings and had us all cracking up. At one point she told Meagan-Marie that she was going to poo poo in the grass and proceeded to do so. Whenever someone would do something she liked, she continue to tell them, "again". It was precious! Ryne would get excited to see Catch every morning. I could hear her from the living room asking her mommy and daddy where "Baby Catch" was. Too cute!

It was also a big weekend for Catch. As you know, he's been rolling onto his stomach, but can't seem to do too much after that. Well, I was recording a message on my phone for the grandmas and he just pushed himself up on his elbows! I was amazed! He is getting so strong. Every day is more fun than the previous. I am always anxious to see what new thing he is going to do next.

Check out the pics below. There are some great ones!

Ryne telling Catch, "Good Morning"

Definitely available for playdates.

The boys figuring out the rules for Punt-Pass-Kick. They take this pretty serious.

Chris's punt - it was really good.
Nice throw!
He went a little crooked on his kick...
Sissy won - nice headband!
Sissy mocking the mangled trophy that Chris broke (actually it fell from on top of the fridge when Chris closed the door). ;0)
Catch was passed out while they were kicking and throwing.
Griff with Catch.
Catch taking his nap. It was a whole 2 and 1/2 hours!
He was turning all sorts of ways!
Catch was chewing on the end of the table! Don't worry, we put a burpie under him.

He was exhausted after taking the family pics.
The following pics are from the drive home. He was in such a good mood - smiling, giggling, and fascinated with blowing spit bubbles.

Yummy!
He managed to fit both the burpie and thumb in his mouth.
He loves his fingers!
Sound asleep, but he didn't want to let go of my finger. :0)

Isn't he just the funniest?!

It's been 4 months!

I can't believe it's already been 4 months since this little man has come into our lives. We have been having so much fun watching Catch do new things. Every day he smiles and laughs a little more. He will wake us up at 4 in the morning, but as soon as he smiles at us, we are wide awake smiling and giggling with him. Yesterday, I took Catch to get his 4-month shots and it was heartbreaking. Luckily, we are done with those for a couple months. He weighs 16 lbs. and 6 oz. and is 24 1/2" long. The doctor said he was looking good and that's always a relief to hear. I asked the doctor about the whole "crying it out" process and he said it was okay to start it now. Honestly, I was hoping he'd tell me to wait a little longer. :0( We are leaving for Little Rock tomorrow night (we are super excited!) so Chris and I have decided to move Catch to his own room on Sunday. Right now he sleeps in the pack and play in our room, but usually after a couple of hours, he wakes up and sleeps on me for the rest of the night. I love my snuggle buddy, but I think it may be causing more problems. Often times, he'll be sound asleep on me and as soon as we transfer him to the pack and play, he begins to cry (by cry I mean scream). That can't be good. So...I'll let you all know how Sunday goes. I may have to be restrained in order to not go in his room and pick him up.

My Little Monster

Auntie Da sent Catch a present

It's still a little big, but is this not the cutest onesie?! I'm a huge Hendrix fan, as well as my sister, so hopefully Catch will be too.

Plus a cd of some of the greats. We've already been jamming out to it on the way to the daycare (along with his nursery rhyme cd). What a combination!!!

Grandma Brenda playing dress up.

Camoflauge suits him well.

Boomer seems to like the outfit.

Now how cute is he in his Avengers shirt?!

Playing with his hippo in the bath.

Catch, be nice to the hippo!

I think hats suit him well.

His favorite position to sleep.

Grandma Brenda's arms have got to be getting tired.

On the way to the doctor - cute hoody!

Of course he has his fingers in his mouth.

Going on his walk with his daddy. It was a bit chilly outside, so we bundled him up in his OU blankie.

CUTENESS!!!

YAY! 4-months old!

Off to daycare!
