Random pics from a busy week

This past week was pretty crazy. I finished up school on Tuesday (YEA!), hung out with family, took all three dogs to the vet, cleaned our house of tick-infested dogs, took Catch back to the doctor, and continually woke up during the night to rock a fussy baby back to sleep (and I'm not talking about Chris). ;0)

I'm not going to lie, we had a rough week with our Catcheroo. It's like he turned one, and he became whinier. I know he's teething and not feeling the greatest, but when we are home, he cries when I'm out of sight and cries when I lie him down. He's been sleeping with us for almost 2 weeks, and I'm pretty sure that's made him even more attached (me as well). Last night, I was up from 3-6 trying to console him. This is definitely the most frustrated I've been since the first couple of months. In between all the crying, he's totally become a walker and explorer, which means I can't let him out of my sight for a second. With that, anytime I redirect him, he screams, cries, and throws his head back to pitch a fit. We're working on time-outs already. The funny thing is whenever we are out and about running errands, he's amazing! So, after a rough Thursday at home, he and I ran around all day Friday and it was so much fun. We met Bonnie and Erin for lunch at Santa Fe, visited daddy at work, and went to the bookstore. My oil light came on while we were driving home, so I took it to Hibdon's and Chris drove us to the mall. One of his coworkers told him about the store, The Children's Place, that's in the Sooner Fashion Mall. Mothers, if you haven't been, it's a must-go. They have some really cute but inexpensive clothes. I just noticed that there is one in Midwest City, so Catch and I will be taking a trip there next week. :0)

Well, enough of my ranting and raving. Here are the pics!

He loves his four wheeler.

Chasing Daddy

This is favorite position on the four wheeler...what does this say about him?!

Taking the four wheeler from his friend, Cason.

Opening some bday presents from Grandad and Grandma Manley

Catch with his Grandad Manley

Catch couldn't get enough food from Grandma Gloria. She made the cutest cards for Catch and he got some precious gifts.

Auntie Da got Catch some cool Converse, so now he can match her and Uncle Baba.

Catch playing at Carter's birthday.

He's trying to help Carter push his car.

hehehe...

Playing with the sidewalk chalk, but more like eating it.

:0)

More time on the four wheeler!

He may not look like it here, but he loves my kisses. :0)

Chris being a goofball with Catch.

Sleeping in our bed. I know, I know...

Trying to smooth talk some animal crackers from Auntie Bunky.

Lunch time!

It was a hot day, and he was ready to get in some air condition.

We went to the grocery store at 9:30, so we could be back for his afternoon nap, but I guess there's something peaceful about Walmart.

Eating lunch and playing with Mrs. Erin

Lunch with his future wife, Kelli.

Headed to a swim party at Uncle Guy and Aunt Brenda's house. Too bad he wasn't ready to swim. However, he did let me hold him in the pool. He actually fell asleep! I can't figure this boy out.

Lunch time or play time, who knows.

I hid the bottles Saturday morning, and he hasn't had one since. Each day has gotten better, but last night, he was really upset that I wouldn't give him one. Now, we will have to start with the pacifier. I'm dreading that one...

Gammie and Catch eating some carrots.
By the way, he's eating big boy food now! I made him pancakes this morning and Gammie made him a grilled cheese for lunch. He was in hog heaven!

Family

I have to say that we have the best family! We had so many people come out to his party, and my sisters and brother traveled to be here with their nephew. I can really tell how much they love him. I just wish we all lived closer. Auntie Da worked all night then drove straight here so she wouldn't miss Catch's birthday. Uncle Baba didn't even go to sleep; he went straight into helping us get ready for the party. Auntie Bunky and Uncle Baba spent the whole morning helping us clean and decorate. We wouldn't have been ready if they hadn't helped. My sister, Bianca, just left today for Santa Fe. I was really sad to see her go. She was so great with Catch and I loved having family here for that long. Hopefully, Chris will be able to take a few days off in a couple of weeks so we can take a long weekend trip to her. While Bianca was here, she took some adorable pics of Catcheroo. Get ready to giggle, and ooh and ahh over our gorgeous lil man.

Auntie Da made this shirt for Catcheroo. Our WHOLE family has a problem with saying "Oh sure." I've actually rubbed it off on Chris and Lisa too, even though they won't admit to it

I love how he scrunches up his nose now!

He wouldn't let go of my sister's lens cap.

What is he doing with his mouth?! hehehe...

Studying so inquisitively. That's my boy!

Look at those teethies!

This is one of my all-time favorite pics!!!

If you haven't had the pleasure of receiving a hug from Catch, you need to get one. He is the best hugger. He got that from his Auntie Bunky.

Chillin' in the rocking chair

This is a classic, "Feed the Children" look; however, you can tell he gets plenty to eat.

He's got his alligator pillow on his head. :o)

Under his crib. This is Catch's favorite place to be in his room.

Peek-a-boo!

Peek-a-boo again!
Bathtime!

This face makes me the happiest person!
