A Visit with Grandma and Grandpa

Catch got to visit with his Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Ted last week. He always has fun when he's with them.

Catch portraying Dr. Evil. ;0)

Catch was giggling and they were just eating it up.

With his Great Grandma Coonie

He looks so grown!

Catch was cheesing at his Great Grandma Coonie

Awww!!!

Catch looking at Max, the new Boxer, play outside. He was making Catch giggle.

Ted was trying to steal Catch. Caught ya!

This was the cutest thing ever! Ted was playing airplane and Catch couldn't get enough. When he stopped, Catch whined to play more.

The First Week of Daycare

First week of daycare is behind us. Whoo! I held it together on the first day, but the second day was bad! I just cried and cried after I dropped him off. I thought it was supposed to be easier, but I guess the reality of it all sunk in. Each day he seemed to adjust a little more, which made me feel a little more comfortable. He doesn't eat and sleep as much during the day, so by the time he gets home, I nurse him and he sleeps for at least a couple hours. I think daycare will help us get him on a schedule though. He used to not stay in the bouncer at the house, but now that he uses it at daycare, he will stay in it at home for a little while. However, I miss him so much during the day that when we are home all I want to do is hold him. Even though I can't be at home with him, the daycare is only 5 minutes from my work so I can always run up there for a quick Catch fix. :0)

This is the funniest pic! When we got home I sat him up on the pillows while I changed and he tipped over. Instead of crying, he just fell asleep! That was the first day of daycare. He was wiped out! He slept for two hours.

Chris reading to Catch after work one night.
How adorable is this?!

On the way to Grandma's and Grandpa's on Wednesday night. I was trying to get Catch to hold his pacifier.

He did it!!!

How cool! You can even see his name.

5:30 am. I was getting ready for work and these little boogers were still sound asleep!

He was banging around on his piano until his legs couldn't take it anymore.
He isn't looking too happy. :0)

Catch's First Day at Daycare

I had been dreading this day all summer, but I am so glad it is over. I couldn't sleep last night because I was worried about today. I was nervous that Catch was going to see me leave him there, start crying, and think I was abandoning him. I was also worried that he'd forget me. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I really am worried that he's going to forget me. :0( Luckily, Catch fell asleep on the way there so when I took him in the daycare, he stayed asleep in his car seat. I left before he awoke so he wouldn't have to see me leave. I thought about him all morning and went by there around noon to drop off a bottle and check on him. By the way, I totally forgot to grab his bottles out of the fridge before we left! Smooth move, Brittany. Anyway, when I walked in to see him he was lying in a bouncer next to a cute, little red-haired girl. Already macking on the girls. Atta boy! ;0) He seemed so relaxed, which made me worry less. When I left he didn't want to look at me! It broke my heart, but I finally got his attention and he gave me his cute little smile. That was enough and I quickly left before he got upset. When I picked him up at 3:15 he was calmly lying in the bouncer again. My little Catch was such a big boy today and I am so proud of him! I hope that every day is a great day for him. I never knew my heart could feel this much love. It is truly the best feeling in the world.

Off to daycare - Mommy isn't handling it as well as baby boy

Time to be a big boy
Catch didn't sleep much at daycare, so when he got home he conked out. When he awoke, his eyes were so puffy from sleep. Poor baby!

He was so sleepy during his bath. He usually cries bloody murder when we take him out and put lotion on him. However, he was all smiles tonight. It was such a wonderful moment. I think he was delirious from lack of sleep. ;0)

The Many Faces of Catcheroo!

Catch's First Trip to the Park

Chris and I took Catch for a walk to the park tonight. He really loves being outside. He can be screaming one second and as soon as we walk outside he calms down. I think he gets distracted by everything because his eyes get big and he starts following all sorts of things.

Walking to the park

Hi Everyone!

He may not look like it, but he really is excited about the walk.

My precious!

Look at these two kids!

hehehe...

He wasn't too sure about the slide.

Back to Work! And no Catch. :0(

Today was my first day back to work and I had to leave Catch at home. It was extremely difficult, but at least he was with my mom. However, it was a teacher work day so I was able to bring him up to school with me for the afternoon. Lucky me! I'm slowly winging myself from my little man -- very slowly. Monday is going to be the hardest because I'll have to drop him off at daycare. Even though I can't stay home with him, at least I know he will be attending a daycare where several other teachers take their children. That makes me a little more relaxed. Not much though. :0)

My little chubs! How can I leave this????
