It's been 4 months!

I can't believe it's already been 4 months since this little man has come into our lives. We have been having so much fun watching Catch do new things. Every day he smiles and laughs a little more. He will wake us up at 4 in the morning, but as soon as he smiles at us, we are wide awake smiling and giggling with him. Yesterday, I took Catch to get his 4-month shots and it was heartbreaking. Luckily, we are done with those for a couple months. He weighs 16 lbs. and 6 oz. and is 24 1/2" long. The doctor said he was looking good and that's always a relief to hear. I asked the doctor about the whole "crying it out" process and he said it was okay to start it now. Honestly, I was hoping he'd tell me to wait a little longer. :0( We are leaving for Little Rock tomorrow night (we are super excited!) so Chris and I have decided to move Catch to his own room on Sunday. Right now he sleeps in the pack and play in our room, but usually after a couple of hours, he wakes up and sleeps on me for the rest of the night. I love my snuggle buddy, but I think it may be causing more problems. Often times, he'll be sound asleep on me and as soon as we transfer him to the pack and play, he begins to cry (by cry I mean scream). That can't be good. So...I'll let you all know how Sunday goes. I may have to be restrained in order to not go in his room and pick him up.

My Little Monster

Auntie Da sent Catch a present

It's still a little big, but is this not the cutest onesie?! I'm a huge Hendrix fan, as well as my sister, so hopefully Catch will be too.

Plus a cd of some of the greats. We've already been jamming out to it on the way to the daycare (along with his nursery rhyme cd). What a combination!!!

Grandma Brenda playing dress up.

Camoflauge suits him well.

Boomer seems to like the outfit.

Now how cute is he in his Avengers shirt?!

Playing with his hippo in the bath.

Catch, be nice to the hippo!

I think hats suit him well.

His favorite position to sleep.

Grandma Brenda's arms have got to be getting tired.

On the way to the doctor - cute hoody!

Of course he has his fingers in his mouth.

Going on his walk with his daddy. It was a bit chilly outside, so we bundled him up in his OU blankie.

CUTENESS!!!

YAY! 4-months old!

Off to daycare!

Some good times with the family

It's been awhile since I last posted some pics of Catch. Time is flying by and things are just getting so busy! Lately I feel like his sleeping routine has been getting worse. He'll only sleep for a couple hours and wake up crying. His stomach has been hurting lately, so that's probably what it is. It just breaks my heart. However, last night he slept from 10 pm to 3:30 am. He must have needed it.

We have begun watching the "Your Baby Can Read" dvd. Catch seems to like them for the most part. Sometimes he can watch the entire 20 minutes, which is really impressive. The program also came with a cd of nursery rhymes. We listen to them anytime we get in the car. I think his favorites are "eensy weensy spider" and "head, shoulders, knees, and toes". His gets the biggest grin when I sing those to him. :0)

Little Monkey has outgrown his bassinet now. Time to put in the attic.
Definitely bittersweet.

Get that ladybug and snail!

He was asleep in my arms and when I laid him down to change his diaper,
this is how he stayed. Talk about being pooped!

Playing at daycare. I think he looks like me here.
Maybe I'm just dreaming though.

I went to pick Catch up at daycare and he was sound asleep. So precious!

Sleeping at Whataburger. Getting rested up for some bowling.

Kisses from grandpa

He just loves his grandma and grandpa.

Look how long he is?!

I wasn't too successful. You'll notice all the pins are
still standing.

Aren't we just the cutest?!

Grandpa fixed Catch's swing. It has lights and music.
He loves to stare at lights.

hehehe...my precious!

Getting ready for the OU game vs. ISU

Watching the game.

Go OU!
Sitting up. What a big boy!
I think he's in love with his hands.

Nap time during the game.

Half-time: Time to play!

Playing with mommy and daddy.

Videos that will make you smile

Some Big Moments for Catcheroo

These past couple weeks have been big ones for Catch. He is doing new things every day and we can barely keep up! He is rolling over, using the jumper, giggling, moving his head around steadily, pulling on toys to make them turn on, and focusing on the tv, books, and everyone who looks at him. He even looked at me when I called his name. Chris has noticed that he perks up when he looks at himself in the mirror and my mom said he smiled at himself when he saw his reflection. We are in such awe of our little man! Before we know it he'll be walking and talking!

I didn't discover that he could play in this until I picked him up at daycare. I walked in and he was just sitting there playing with all the toys. I was amazed at how balanced he was.

He can reach the floor on his tippie toes. It's adorable. We don't keep him there but a few minutes.

Chris showing Catch the trees and flowers. Catch really seems intrigued by everything he sees. Chris takes him on a daily "Daddy and Son Walk" around the block every night. Along the way, he tells Catch all the things he sees. Chris said that Catch is really observant and turns to look at trees and other things.

Catch is definitely comfortable in his daddy's arms!

The boys having a good 'ole time on the bed.

Already taking over the remote and recliner!

Kicking away!

His new toy. He has already learned to pull on the string below the ladybug. "If you're happy and you know it" plays every time.

Catch trying to roll back over and play with his cousins, Zane and Ethan.

Catch sleeping during his first OU game. He must have realized what the outcome was going to be. Grandma wouldn't let me wake him up to put on his OU onesie. ;0)

Having a giggle with Grandma Lisa

hehehe...this pic is too funny!
Chillin' with dad

He is all about sitting up now.

He rolled himself over and scooted over to his toy. It took awhile, but he did it all by himself.

Catch's Daycare Crew

Catch sleeping in
his crib at daycare

I really think Catch is enjoying daycare. He is sleeping better and eating more, so he must be getting more comfortable. He is in a room with 4 or 5 other babies and two wonderful women, Sue and Kristin. I will walk in there sometimes and they will have one baby on their lap and rocking the other two in bouncers near their feet. Now that's what I call multi-tasking! I can tell they really love the babies. When I pick him up, Sue always tells Catch, "God Bless You, Catch." It is the most adorable thing ever! There are two other women who work with Catch occasionally - Danielle and Brittany. They are also great. I can always tell when they greet him good morning that they are genuinely excited to see him.

Catch has also found a friend! Carter is a few hours older than Catch. His mom, Kristy, had him at the same hospital as Catch. As I was waddling in to be induced, she was resting with Carter in her arms. He is so adorable and sweet. They may not know it, but they will be great friends! :0)

I'd love to be at home with Catch, but since I can't, I'm glad I found a wonderful place for him to go.

Sue and Kristin with the all the babies. Catch is lying in Sue's arms.

BFF's - Carter and Catch

How precious is Carter?!

I think he adds a layer of chin every week! ;0)
